Sadly though a lot of communities lack having a playing field that is pleasant to visit. This equals more children sitting in front of the T.V. drooling as they play 5 more hours of video games.

With the current economic struggle, playing fields everywhere are being neglected due to budget cuts in funding. Kellogg's Frosted Flakes is helping us out! They are committed to helping to rebuild athletic fields across America.

Kellogg's Frosted Flakes Earn Your Stripes program has made a call to action for a nationwide field renovation program! The program kicks off this Super Bowl Sunday with a commercial called "Plant a Seed". The commercial focuses on how together we all can make a difference in kids' lives.

The program will make over about 50 fields across the U.S. to help give our families better places to be active and play. By visiting the website you can nominate a field in your own neighborhood!

We need to inspire our children to help our communities! My own daughter, Morgan is doing things to help our community through 4H. She has organized her very own food drive!

I have been doing MyPoints for a few years now. I have earned more gift cards than I can count. I think a lot of people don't join MyPoints because they think it is one of those things that keep making you click click click click. It is SO not like that. MyPoints sends you emails. Now in these emails it says click here to earn 5 points, 10 points or whatever. Click there...earn points. It adds up SUPER fast.

Now another way to earn points is online shopping. If you need to order something online then go to MyPoints first and see if your shop participates. You can get discounts as well as earn points from places like 123 inkjets, Target, The Gap, Drugstore.com, Snapfish....just TONS of places. When you get a lot of points you can cash them in for gift cards. I usually get them to Starbucks. Lately though, I am stockpiling my points

Ok I am TOTALLY back into making a weekly menu. It makes it a lot easier to know what needs to be done and the kids can just look at it and know what is scheduled for meals that day. Menu planning saves money at the grocery store as well. Here is our Menu for this week:

Remember the changes I mentioned? Well they are happening now, as you can probably tell. Things look a bit different around here, new name even! Other things are finally coming together as well. Some of you that have been reading for awhile know that our friend BC committed suicide back in July. He was our friend and the bass player for HIT & RUN. It took them a very long time to find someone who could take on his spot in the band. After searching for MANY months they have found that person. Mark from Mitra and Pumping Ethyl has joined them on bass. They are coming back full force playing a show with AGNOSTIC FRONT at Lola's Saloon in Fort Worth, TX on February 14th. Yea, I guess you know what my Valentines Day plans are haha, maybe they will play me a love song?

Healthier Cooking

I love my George Foreman Grill. My mom and dad got it for me a few years back and we use it quite often. Watching the thick sludge of fat draining off the food being cooked makes for healthy grilling.

There is so much you can make on a George Foreman grill. Cooking frozen hamburger patties is quick and easy. Steaks, Chicken....you name it! It's super simple to use and easy to clean. I don't know how I made it all those years before.

Sure grilling outdoors is always best, but when you have bad weather or not a lot of time you can just pull that baby out and plug it in for some great easy grilling. What sorts of things do you use your George Foreman Grill for?

So once upon a time ago.......I was almost arrested for my purse. I have a purse that I purchased at the mall. I totally didn't ever think I could go to jail for it. Well long story short...I was pulled over, officer said it was illegal for me to carry the purse and that he very well could take me to jail right then and there. Texas cops don't seem to like me too much. Anyhow I'll have to take a picture of the purse and post the full story another day. The purse had a small miniature pair of brass knuckles as the clasp. This apparently makes the purse a weapon. So my question now is, could I be arrested for wearing these?

Girls Are So Touchy

I'm a mother to three girls. One of those girls has apparently come in to puberty quite early. She is 10, she is growing like a weed!

Its a funny thing with girls. You really have to be careful of what you say to them, because everything is taken the wrong way. For instance, the other night J and I commented on her outfit, telling her the outfit she was wearing was getting way too small. She freaked, like freaked in a way that would lead to her binging on cheap diet pills if I hadn't nipped it before it was out of control.

I had to explain to her that we just meant she was getting taller. Taller meaning shirts get shorter and jeans show much more butt crack than anyone should ever have to see. We both realized at that moment......from here on out anything we say to her can totally affect her body image. This is definitely a topic that I need to read up on and prepare for. Girls have it so rough with the way they change, so I am going to continue to try to make sure all of my girls are 100% comfortable with themselves

As I have mentioned before, I LOVE books! Thankfully my kids love books as well. Morgan is in the 5th grade and is reading at about a 10th grade level now. She used to hate to read, I'm so glad that changed. She devours books daily! I keep a lot of books in our home and we visit the library quite often.

One of my favorite authors is James Patterson. He is the man behind Read Kiddo Read. Read Kiddo Read was designed to help you find great books that will make your child want to read! They have reviews on books that are separated for the appropriate ages and types of books.

Ultimate Party Meatballs Recipe

I know you all probably have all kinds of holiday family dinners to attend. This requires you to think of something to prepare and take! It's not like your busy enough right? So how about something easy this year?

Heinz and Ocean Spray have teamed up to bring you a great easy recipe for this years holiday season! Their Ultimate Party Meatball recipe only has 3 ingredients and 2 steps! How much easier can it get?

Ingredients:

1 16-ounce can Ocean Spray® Jellied Cranberry Sauce
1 12-ounce bottle Heinz® Chili Sauce
1 2-pound bag frozen, pre-cooked, cocktail-size meatballs

Directions:

Combine sauces in a large saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring until smooth. Add meatballs. Cover and cook for 15 minutes or until meatballs are heated through, stirring occasionally.

Makes 30 appetizer servings.

Want it even easier?????? Of course you do!

Slow cooker Preparation:

Place meatballs in a slow cooker. Combine sauces and pour over meatballs. Cover and cook 4 hours on HIGH.

Ok so I am almost done with my gift shopping. I still have to go get my oldest daughters BIG present. She is going to be so excited to finally have her own computer. It's a pretty big deal.

Jeremy was the hardest to shop for. I had thought about scrapbooking about the band so far, but really just didn't have enough time. So I decided to order one of those photo books. I just did it a few days ago and he was quite suspicious of the questions I was asking. Oh well. Well, when I hit the order button it said 2-3 weeks for delivery....say what? But I just got an email confirmation last night saying it would be ready to pick up at the local store in 2-3 days. That's awesome! Totally made my day to find that out.

I have been working my fanny off catching up on custom orders and finally got caught up and everything mailed in time. I have also been working hard with the new graphics portion of our business. The .com has been purchased and the new site should be up soon! So exciting! As well as the band web site being worked on and it will be up very soon as well!

Baby Einstein Holiday Blog Tour

You know, I had never watched a Baby Einstein DVD. My girls had never watched one either. We have had Baby Einstein books, which are among some of the favorites here at our home. So of course I wanted to see what else they offered.

I was super excited to be chosen to participate in the Baby Einstein Blog tour hosted by Mom Central. It was the perfect opportunity to see first hand what was so special about Baby Einstein.

In our package we recieved the following:

Baby Einstein Board Book
Lullaby Classics CD

We are currently listening the the Lullaby Classics CD right now and you know....it's REALLY peaceful and relaxing. Maybe I should place this in my room at night to help relax this tired mama. The girls, however are dancing! It's looking like a 4yr old and 2 yr olds version of ballet. I would have to say they are loving it and so am I. I mean I am typing while my kids listen to music that I can actually stand! That means I am able to concentrate! WOW! I must get more of this thing called Baby Einstein!

The board book was the first thing the girls ran off when the package arrived. Ms. Emma is 2 and has claimed the book as hers. Ms. Lauren (age 4) also loves the touch and feel book. She enjoys showing me how the fur turns different colors depending on which way you rub it.

The DVD was another hit and one I actually enjoyed. A nice change from the overly obnoxious children's shows on TV. Sorry...this mama can't stand a doodlebop, there for no doodle boppin a bops in my house. The DVD was not too long! That is great, because I like TV in small intervals for the kid's so they are not just veggin' out on the tube for hours. This is a great length for some evening relaxation to wind down before bed time.

Why Do We Have Such Bad Luck?

So my last post was about how awesome everything seemed to be lately. Well today, not so awesome. I am sitting here worried about J. A few weeks ago he fell off of a roof while working. This sucked really bad because they had just started the job and yea it sucks because falling hurts.

He worked through the pain and after a few days was feeling a bit better. His arm still hurts and it has this funky little bend to it. Today he woke up having trouble breathing. Its all on the side that he hit when he fell. I am worried that he cracked his ribs and maybe in his sleep something shifted. He still went to work, but the look on his face told me he was in a lot of pain. I wish we were built with a little pain pump built in. Give that baby a push whenever you felt crappy. Really though, I never take meds, so I would probably never push the button on it.

I'm half asleep, only have had 1/2 cup of coffee. I have a lot to do OFFLINE today, so hoping to get all of mu puter stuff done this morning and SHUTTING this thing off to get stuff done the rest of the day.

This Week Is Tree Time

I really can not wait. J is picking up the Christmas Tree this week. This year all 3 girls will be able to help decorate. I know they will have such a blast. Now my deal is getting everything ready for the tree to arrive. I need some sort of moving services to help get it in order for me. Anyone want to volunteer? This is our first Christmas in this house and I hope that it is a nice and memorable one for my girls.

This week was quite a full one. We had a surprise birthday party for J. Its funny because I had this planned before I knew about the one they had for me, so all of our friends were like ugh 2 in a row??? HAHAHA! Some good friends showed up and we all had a good time.

Before people arrived Morgan and J built a massive dog house for Morgan's dogs. Complete with porch and all. It still needs to be shingled and painted. It was a great weekend and I think it's going to continue to be awesome for us through this Holiday season.

Speedealer and The Misfits

So yesterday was J's birthday and last Friday was mine. We decided that we would go see the Speedealer Reunion show! They played with The Misfits and we had an awesome time! I met some new people, got a few bruises, and a few pictures. One of the girls I met got her camera knocked out of her hands and lost her memory stick! How bad does that suck! This was after she had taken MANY pictures. So the night goes on and the show is over. We were all standing outside in the back and met Dez Cadena (of Black Flag fame). As we were standing outside a guy came up and had the memory stick that had previously been lost in a sea of craziness. Rad! Here are some of my photos from the night.

Friday is my birthday. I'll be 34...I think... J's is like a week later.
I think how cool it would be to have a party for J&I, but instead all I know is that I have very few friends that actually live in Texas, so who would come? Yea, maybe if I got out more I would make some more friends, but I can't... so oh well. It's hard to make more friends my age, when most of the women my age act their age, and well frankly...in my head I am still about 21-23. I mean I am mature and have my responsibilities, but I still like to have fun. I like to go out and have some drinks, watch some bands. I still like to dye my hair, get tattoos, and be young. I don't want to sit around talking to "Martha Smith" about Ephadrasil hardcore and her recent wrinkle cream purchase. I want to still be young, and I will stay this way as long as I can.

Virtual Books For Kids

I got a chance to try out MobiStories, and my girls loved it! MobiStories are virtual books for kids. These "books" can be purchased and downloaded to your computer. You can play them on the computer or load them on to a portable viewing device.

I downloaded 4 different titles from MobiStories this morning. One being titled "Tobias Turkey" which teaches a great lesson of determination. My little ones sat at the computer and watched and listened to the entire thing. The stories are narrated very well, with great artwork for the "pages".

I used to plan on going to Las Vegas and getting married in a drive thru by a fat Elvis. I still think about that. I have noticed that I have a tendency to keep things. Like keep them and covet them and not use them the way they are intended to be used. Like stationery. I love all this cutesy stuff and I can barely bring myself to use it up. I have stationery here still from when I was a KID. Fabric...I have BINS full of fabric. I look at it and get the scissors, then at the last minute I just can't do it. I fold it up and put it back. Another one is pens...like promotional pens. Especially the prescription pens and bank pens. I know there are others like me. What is this weird obsession? Help me to let go and CUT the fabric and use the pens to write on the stationery....help.....

DREAM HOUSE "If I was Rich"

I have 2 different types of dream homes. Yea, I day dream a lot! I have an "if I was rich" dream home, and an "I want to be self sufficient" dream home. Currently I think about the "I want to be self sufficient" home on a daily basis. things are scary to me right now and I worry about the future. Today I will list 10 things about the "if I was rich" home.

The "if I was rich" home has the following 10 things. It has enough bedrooms so no guest would ever have to sleep in the living room. It has a theater with home theater seating and an old school popcorn cart. A Practice/Recording music room. A huge library, playground, pool, those wall vacuum things like The Duggar's have. Hmmm... a hot tub! Oh I totally need a craft room that is fully decked out with storage for everything. Then I think the last thing would be a stage for the girl's.

Barbie & The Diamond Castle

My girls were so happy when we received the Barbie & The Diamond Castle DVD to review. We already had some of the other Barbie movies and the girls liked them. This one however, they absolutely loved. I can not even tell you how many times they have watched it. I know the first day they watched it as soon as it ended they begged to watch it again. They were singing and dancing around the room. The animation is done so well, and the soundtrack was enjoyable. I wasn't cringing for it to be over as I am with some of the movies my kids like to watch again and again.

Liana and Alexa are two girls who share everything, including a love of singing. One day they meet an old woman and share what little food they have with her. In return the old woman lets them pick a "treasure" from her basket. They choose a tarnished old mirror. After taking it home and cleaning it up they realize this is no ordinary mirror. They meet Melody, a girl locked inside an enchanted mirror. Melody holds the secret key to the Diamond Castle. Alexa and Liana want to rescue their new friend, and so the adventure begins. Along the way they face challenges and learn about true friendship.

I really thought the story was good for our young girls. I am pretty choosy about what I allow them to watch. There are a lot of shows aimed at our children that show things I just do not agree with. This movie I am comfortable with completely.

I have Endometriosis. Endometriosis is a common gynecological condition among American women of all ages, races and backgrounds. It is more common in women in their 20’s and 30’s, but I was diagnosed when I was just a child. When I was about 13 I had my first surgery to remove some of the cysts that I had developed. This surgery was called a Laparoscopy. The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. Access into the abdomen is obtained through the navel and a harmless gas such as carbon dioxide is used to inflate the abdominal cavity and create a safe working space. I have the teeeeeniest tiniest scar there. I also have one a few inches below that in my pubic line.

The AAGL is the leading association promoting minimally invasive gynecologic surgery among surgeons worldwide.

A new awareness study found that virtually all women expect their OB/GYN to inform them about minimally invasive treatments for common pelvic health disorders (PHDs), yet comparatively few are aware of the newer treatments designed to cause less pain and provide shorter recoveries.

Well, I am here to help inform as well. Luckily I had this awesome doctor that was one of the leading physicians for the study and treatment of Endometriosis. My mother had Endometriosis, so when I started having horrible pains in about the 4Th/5Th grade he made sure to keep an eye on this. I first had an ultrasound and he was able to tell from that. Then later the Laparoscopy was done to remove the cysts so I could get started on a hormonal treatment to help put this in remission. Thanks to this less invasive treatment my chances to have have children were increased and I now have 3 daughters that were conceived without issue. With my daughters I will watch for signs for this as well so they can start any treatment needed at a younger age as my mother did for me.

AAGL, the professional organization of gynecologists interested in endoscopy and minimally invasive gynecology, has retooled its Web site, www.aagl.org, and added a comprehensive patient education section on common gynecologic conditions and the minimally invasive options available to treat them.

I highly suggest checking out the AAGL website. It is full of information that should be passed on to other women who may not know and are living in horrible pain. I know that I myself have told many people about Endometriosis, because I recognized the signs. Most of these women had NEVER heard of the condition and did not know there were these treatments available. Educate yourself!

Kentucky memories

I remember back when I was in high school, maybe 9th grade? My friend Susie and I went and visited her family that lived in Kentucky. It was such an awesome experience for us. These people lived like Little House on the Prairie. I kid you not. They had water they pumped from a well, oil lanterns, an outhouse, a loft with the ladder, horses, cows, bulls, turkeys, chickens, goats...you name it. Now Susie and I were girls that were used to modern things. We came somewhat prepared....prepared to look good of course. Now you have to realize these days were Aquanet days....you know Camaro hair? Man we had some hair....big hair. I remember we had these snazzy propane powered curling irons. Do you remember those? We were lucky to be able to stay in a pull behind trailer that her dad brought down. It had a bathroom with a shower. We didn't have to use the outhouse thank GOD because of the snakes...yes lots of snakes. I remember one of her many male cousins asking us to go horse back riding. We assumed a short ride.....no....his type of ride was a tour of the Kentucky mountains. Holy cow I could not walk standing up straight for days! Another favorite thing for these Kentucky boys was "caving". Um yea....at night even. They took us "caving" in the scariest most dangerous places at NIGHT. I would like to have gone back there again, it was so cool how they were so self sufficient and lived without many modern things. If I had gone back I would have brought more things with me to make my stay more comfortable. Perhaps a hard hat with a light? Or maybe one of those wind up radios? All in all it was a great time...well except when that one boy sitting in the back seat with me decided to swallow some of that chewing tobacco and immediately upchucked allover the place. I tried so hard to get out of that car! Susie was in the front passenger side and I was in the back passenger side. I begged her to hurry, and well...she tried....but this boy decided to place his hand over his mouth as he heaved and a spray of Ham and Cheese went everywhere. I'll never forget that. I was never able to eat a Ham and Cheese sandwich after that day, heck I can't even look at one.

I can not even explain how excited I am. Things have been a little rough around here lately. The economy sucks. No, really.... it sucks. Money has been tight and I have been looking for more ways to bring in a few bucks. Things are falling into place in more ways than one. I have an awesome friend that is helping me get started on some really exciting things. Just in time too! I mean Christmas is around the corner! So Halloween is coming, I absolutely LOVE Halloween! Now things are too tight to do it this year, but I promise....next year I am having a HUGE Halloween bash with Halloween invitations
and all the other stuff that goes along with throwing a real big bash! This year however....we will just settle for taking the kiddos out Trick Or Treating. YUM...free candy! My kids have figured out what they want to be and really I have no investment this year besides having to get a witch hat for Lauren. Lauren chose to be a witch after getting a very cool witch costume minus the hat in a box of freecycle stuff. PERFECT! Little money to be spent makes me a very happy mama! Lauren and Morgan have both chosen to be punk rockers. Again...no investment because they both already have clothing that will work for this. So a witch hat, some bags of candy and we are set! What are your kiddos being for Halloween? What do you have planned?

OK, it's not like that bad..but still....why am I breaking out at this age? I have more breakouts as an adult than I did as a teenager? What gives? Is it my greasy kids touching my face all the time? Is it stress? It's driving me crazy. I am 33 or something...33? Yea I think 33 and here I have little spots on my chin, nose and forehead ready to pop up! I know I am not the only one that is going through this, so come on and tell me what acne treatment you use. I don't want to spend tons of money on making my skin look good, so the basics only please! I don't really get greasy either, in fact my skin on my nose is always dry. I'm so not hip to this stuff. My favorite Holidays are quickly sneaking up on us. I love Thanksgiving. I always have, I was born on Thanksgiving day even! Occasionally my birthday lands on my beloved T day! This year it is the day before my birthday. I guess I get to eat left over turkey sandwiches on my birthday. Maybe some sweet potato pie, apple pie, pumpkin pie (which I just learned I do actually like). Yes I LOVE T day! J suggested that we have T day at our house this year. I don't think I am up for it. There are sooo many people in his family and I just don't think I could keep it together. I tend to get flustered and really...like seriously...I just don't think I can do it.

It is so nice and cool out. Such an awesome thing here in Texas to have a cool breezy night. I'm so used to Michigan weather, and while I do not miss Michigan, I do miss the cold. I miss being able to bundle up with an electric blanket. I miss going sledding, I miss snowball fights. I miss making snowmen, I miss making snow angels. I don't miss the dreary gray skies, and nasty sludge on the roads though. I just miss snow.

It has been another useless unproductive day. I sat online and really didn't accomplish anything. I surfed for auto insurance quotes....always looking for a cheaper solution there. I was found on myspace last night by an old friend that I have not heard from in years. Hearing from her made me think about all kids of people and places I had not thought of in a very very long time. I spent ALL day going through old yearbooks while searching on myspace. I found some, but not everyone I wanted to find. There are people that I didn't go to school with that I would like to find as well...be a little nosey and see what they did with life. Are they the same...did they change? Did they become famous? I think I am going to devote a little more time to this and see who all I can find. I bet most of them would not be surprised with my career choices at all. I always said I would be a tattoo artist. It is a small world on the Internet! Have you found someone from your past recently? Oh about that pic...it has nothing to do with the post but I was looking at it and I felt like posting it. Morgan is 6 (now 10) and Lauren (now 4) is the baby there!

Well our condenser coil on our AC froze up, so I just about died today. I needed to sew, but it was just way too hot and I didn't manage to do that. I talked to J about some things he wanted to pick up from the store. Something about clamps and other work holding thingamajiggers. Don't ask me...I have no clue. Only thing I know about clamps are what I use for piercing..otherwise known as forceps...oh yea and those things Jessica has in the back of her nightstand drawer, but we won't talk about that here..... Anyhow...this evening we had a field trip to a Photography studio for Morgan's 4H class. She enjoyed that and can not wait to get started on her assignments. This 4H thing really has been fun so far. The little ones have Clover Buds tomorrow, then it is Entomology, Drama (clowning) and Leadership for Morgan. 4H days are long but totally worth it.

I just came across a new site called Unicorn Media. This appears to be a great new tool for music promotion as well as independent film promotion! I am always browsing for sites like this to help support my husbands band. This site is totally FREE for artists and the fans! Currently you can use the Artist Beta to browse and look at the developing features for this great new tool.

I went and checked out the blog for the site as well. They have a lot of tips and information for film and music artists and I will be bookmarking this! I especially liked reading the post about getting your band signed to a label. The blog posts are written in a way that makes it enjoyable to read instead of the typical droning you come across on other blogs of this nature. I was quite pleased. On the blog I also came across some posts of reviews. I will be spending more time there reading the reviews and checking out the music since I am always on the look out for new tunes.

One thing that impressed me is that Unicorn Media celebrated Earth Day and dedicated a post to recognizing musicians that helped make a difference.

He has many years of experience and is a perfectionist...like so much so that he drives me nuts when I am sewing with double checking my measurements and telling me something is 1/16 of an inch off center. Help For Madeline

Meet Madeline, she was born on July 21st 2008. She has an extremely rare skin disorder called Congenital Pigmented Nevus (CPN).
This disorder causes some problems for Miss Madeline and she really needs this stuff removed!

Her chances of developing Melanoma (skin cancer) are much higher than with "normal" skin.

She has trouble with overheating - the nevus skin cannot sweat.

There are long term social and psychological challenges of living with the nevus.

She'll have restricted activity due to the structure of the nevus and UV exposure.

Guess what though....Insurance will not cover the surgery to remove it! So, Madeline needs our help! They have set up a fund to help Madeline raise the money she needs to get her surgery. Her little body is covered with this. She has one very large area on her back, and many many small ones all over her little body.

So what can we do? Well first of all you can help spread the word about Madeline! Secondly you can donate some funds, or you could arrange a fundraiser.

Check it out! I learned a new trick and added a signature to my posts! Thanks to the tips I found at Jay's corner. They had a post up about adding a divider between posts. I took that info and was able to add in a signature to my own blog. The only thing I did differently is add the code in after Footer 1. Footer 3 is where the divider code goes as instructed on the blog post, I will add in a divider later. S0 thank you very much for the instructions! Go check it out and personalize that blog of yours a bit more!

Oh by the way...I was able to create my signature with coding included at My Live Signature! They have many fonts to choose from, colors, slants, sizes, etc! Coding included!

I am on a message board and one of the hot topics right now is decluttering! I have come across a blog with some more tips to help us all get organized and declutter. It is called Home Organization Solutions . They cover everything in the house! Kids, Clutter, Organizing, Holidays, Paper....just about anything you can think of you could probably find an idea or a solution here. Just About Anything is the blog I stumbled upon today. A blog written by a mother of a girl named Sam living in Japan. I do believe she lives in Tokyo (but is originally from the Philippines), I searched for an about me page...but did not find it. It could be there...I just may not have enough coffee in my system to find it! She writes about ...well....Just about anything as her blog title suggests. I was browsing through I came across this post called Celebrating the Ten Years. She discusses the long distance relationship with her now husband. She is a first time mother and talks about that as well as food, travel, her personal opinions and thoughts, world news, other blogs and much more. I hope she will post some recipes of meatless (like ZERO fish or meat) Sushi. I want to make some but I have a total mental thing and I will not eat fish...especially not RAW. I wonder if she does Bento?

So, I was reading a blog post today by i.do.blog. Lately it has become a quest of mine to check out as many blogs as I can. This post caught my eye because...well to be honest it was about money. Now I am a frugal mama that looks for some extra cash wherever I can find it. The blog post was about a newer program by pay per post where you review the posts made by the poster. Sounds pretty simple. I did click the link to sign up, but there seemed to be a little technical difficulty on the websites end, so we shall see if it worked and if it is indeed a money maker.

There are quite a few reviews of other bloggers on this blog, so after I post this I am going to look through those and see what other goodies I can find! If anyone has used the pay per post review program I would love to hear what you think about it. I have seen Pay Per Post before, but never the review option.

Check out laughlin hotels! I just came across this and you can find excellent rates all on one site. The site is easy to navigate and offers a lot of information. Check out the Aquarius Casino Resort or the Riverside Resort Hotel and Casino. There are so many different ones to look at with tons of information about each one. Vegas....one of those places that seems like I should go to, but will I ever? I have friends that plan and take Vegas vacations every year. I used to have this dream of going to Vegas and getting married in a drive thru by a fat Elvis. I didn't scrap the dream, but I just don't ever see it happening. Maybe when I am like 50 or something. I should put it on my list of things to do before I die. I've been to Atlantic City once. Gambling is FUN...maybe TOO fun to me. I was a good girl and walked out being $30 ahead. It was hard though....very very hard. They stuff you full of free drinks so that you sit and play and play.....its so fun. Yea I think I need to go to Vegas!

I can remember it like it was yesterday! The clowns, the animals, the trapeze artists! It was so exciting as a child and it still gets me all excited as an adult! I remember once getting to ride on the Elephants! It was so amazing to be so small and be up there on that gigantic creature!

The people who read but rarely comment. I need you. I am near death and this is my request, have a heart. I need some ideas for Christmas presents for the Man. So far I have come across the bacon of the month club. What man wouldn't want to be a member of a club that sends him bacon monthly? I could truly see this being a hit, but I am still looking for more ideas before I decide on one. There are those beer of the month clubs...but he only drinks Texas beer such as Shiner Bock, so that would not be good. Give me your ideas....Please! OH boy what have I gotten myself into? The girls had 4H sign ups today. Lauren is 4 so she is old enough for Clover Kids. Morgan and Lauren both signed up for 5 classes each! I have no idea what to expect. No clue what all is involved. I am clueless. Yes clueless. Yea, that's right.

This weekend is the Ben Cooksey Memorial show and we will be there in full force. BWB from Texas, Arkansas (now TX), and even California. The BWB girls in GA have their own thing going on at the Drive Invasion. Both events outside in the heat. Fro's galore. No one rocks a Fro like Jessica, but I am working on it.

I think I need a turbocharger installed in my brain. That would make things much easier.

Oh yea...we (Morgan, but you know it is a WE since someone has to get her there right?) are also going to be joining an American Girl Book club as well. Am I nuts?

For those of you out there that are just hearing about this tribute concert; let me bring you up to speed......
Saturday, August 30th @ Lonestar Country Club in Coppell, 10 bands, a legion of friends, supporters and music lovers will gather for a full night event to remember and honor the legacy of the late Ben Cooksey who passed away July, 4th 2008. Ben was an accomplished musician who played in several great bands such as Roller, RPB, and Hit & Run. Ben was also part owner of Lone Star Tattoo with his brother, Scott Cooksey.

Ben was a true friend to those who were fortunate enough to have him in thier lives. He was a great son, an awesome uncle and a trusted brother. He was truly one of those guys that would give his shirt off his back if need be.

The concerts proceeds are going toward a monument that will landmark Bens presence in this world. We are encouraging everyone to reach out and support this event.

Even if you didnt know Ben we are inviting you to join us to experience an unforgettable night!

I have been reading about Superfoods. Superfoods...all the good stuff that makes us have more energy, fight off disease and all that grooviness. I came across Orovo Top 10 Superfoods products. They have a list of the Top 10 Superfoods and everything they are good for. Definitely something to look into...I am not getting any younger and health is becoming increasingly important to us. One health minded thing that we have done was cutting out soda. We use to always have soda in the house. Over the last few years though it has became a VERY rare thing to find in our home. I think this has made me feel a lot better. I used to drink coke, and J drank Dr. Pepper. The only time I have a soda anymore is if I happen to be out having something to eat, because restaurant tea usually bites. I am a picky tea drinker. I like MY tea and pretty much only my tea. Have you started your shopping? We have! I have been picking up new things that I find at great prices. So far I have a Kids Digital Camera that even makes video clips for Lauren! We also have picked up a great art desk that is wooden with a matching stool! I think we may also get Lauren and Emma kids golf clubs ,not too sure...I think they would enjoy hitting the balls in the yard. Morgan is totally over toys, so her biggie will most likely be her own computer, and shopping cards to book stores, since that is her passion. Only thing is....would it be more logical to get her a laptop or a desk top? She is 10, very mature and responsible, I was just thinking the laptop would take up less room in her bedroom. Any suggestions?
