I have noticed that I have a tendency to keep things. Like keep them and covet them and not use them the way they are intended to be used. Like stationery. I love all this cutesy stuff and I can barely bring myself to use it up. I have stationery here still from when I was a KID. Fabric...I have BINS full of fabric. I look at it and get the scissors, then at the last minute I just can't do it. I fold it up and put it back. Another one is pens...like promotional pens. Especially the prescription pens and bank pens. I know there are others like me. What is this weird obsession? Help me to let go and CUT the fabric and use the pens to write on the stationery....help.....
OK so Stitchblade is in for some BIG CHANGES. I'm going to be moving. Not moving to a new house...just moving to a new place in CyberLand. It's going to be good. I have been neglecting things here a bit as it may appear, but really I am still staying busy. I have posts up on Dinker and Giggles so go check it out over there and stay tuned for the other changes here at Stitchblade!
ME ME ME ME ME ME! Yes ME I want to win this, but I guess y'all can have a chance too... I mean...ugh..yea...I'll tell ya. So here is the deal. These awesome chicks over at The Secret is in the Sauce are giving away something awesome and amazing, and you probably want it just as bad as I do... The new Photoshop Elements 7! How awesome are they? Well they are just my very best friends in the world. Did I mention they were pretty? Did I win yet?
As you know, our friend Ben Cooksey committed suicide in July. His family has set up a walk team and we have joined it.

I figure if I want to have them done for next summer that I probably should start figuring this out now. Have any of you ever sewn swimwear? My idea is to sew the girls really cool 1950's style children's swimsuits, you know...ones that actually COVER. Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated. If you have a horror story and want to tell me just to forget it then that would be good too, I sure don't want to bite off more than I can chew!

I have added some new items today! Previews are up and they will be available for purchase tomorrow. Please stop in and check it out. I also added 4 custom Tutu slots! Christmas is coming and it is time to start thinking about gifts! Tutu's make great gifts, and are wonderful for pictures! Aprons are excellent gifts as well. Don't forget that tutus are awesome for Halloween and can continue to be used for dress up and make believe! Grab a spot while you can. I also can offer local pick up if anyone in the area wants anything. Just let me know!

Ok so I finally bit the bullet and opened my own Hyenacart. It opens TODAY....like really soon. 11 am EDT, so less than an hour now. I have a pretty good variety up at the moment and look forward to adding more next week. I am always up for a custom, so if you are interested let me know. I even added a new style of Apron, so occasionally you may find some of the full lengths as well....Please leave me a comment and tell me what you like best from my shop at the moment. THANKS! OH AND HEY>>>>>>There is a Free For Shipping Lottery up too!
I want to announce the opening of my new resale shop! I also have an RSS feed to it on the side bar of my blog. I hope you will check it often because I plan on adding new items daily! So far I am adding clothing that my girls have outgrown, books, diapering accesories, etc. Check back often you never know what you may find!
There are many many grandchildren in this family. Well I should say MANY girls. Today I am going to a baby shower for my sister in law who is having a BOY! Wooohooooo a boy! So I made her blanket with Alexander Henry Baseball fabric backed with Red Minky. I think it turned out really cute. I must admit Minky is a pain in the rear to sew though! I am really anal on my lines when sewing and I tell you what... that stuff.... no matter how many pins you put in it will not stay put! Thankfully it is done and cute. This isn't the only gift I am taking, but the only one I made. The pictures are not the greatest, I was having some issues with PSP today.
Another gorgeous Apron for a Pretty GC mama! If you are interested in purchasing your own Stitchblade Apron, or any of the other items I make please feel free to contact me!

Today was the promised (and dreaded) Playdoh day. Playdoh is fun, playdoh is a pain in the butt to clean up! Thankfully no carpet in our house so that makes it a bit easier. Morgan found a brand new box of Floam at the thrift store so she was using Floam while the girls used the playdoh.

Here is another apron that was made for a GC mama! This one is made from vintage fabric and I think I am in love! I love the stripes on it! I hope she likes it too!
