No more nursing time to get in shape!

Posted by Stitchblade | 10:35 AM Oct 22, 2008

So now that I am done nursing I am ready to get back to my old self. Whenever I am nursing I am not the typical drop weight like crazy person. I am the one that holds on to everything. Well the time has come and I am ready. I don't want any chemical type diet pills. I want to do this all natural....I wouldn't mind some sort of herbal help for energy and burning calories. I do not need any type of thing that makes me not hungry...as it is I have to remind myself to eat. I would like to hear your all natural weight loss tips. Please post them here and share the goodness! Don't be stingy!

Drink a lot of water. If I continuously drink water throughout the day & before meals & won't eat as much... so drink up ;) And good luck!

Good luck with your weight loss! Haven't you been nursing for five years?? I haven't tried diet pills in ages and don't recommend them. I think they screwed up my metabolism.

Not that I've done any of this lately, but the only things that seem to help me are water, exercise, just moving more in general, eating lots of fruits and veggies, avoiding late night snacking by chewing (a whole pack if you have to) gum in the evenings, and lots of fiber!

Lots of fiber (though not too much!).
I dropped a lot of weight unintentionally by switching to a whole food/lots of fiber diet. At one point I was only eating fruits, veggies, nuts, and some protein (I still ate meat) - no processed foods at all. If you decide to change your diet, do so slowly, however. Trust me. Also, several small meals a day instead of three regular meals will keep your blood sugar consistent, which will help.
And I second the drinking lots of water, especially if you start adding more fiber.
